Deleting an account removes its personal data from a project. It is typically used for GDPR and CCPA erasure requests.
Deletion cannot be undone.

Where to delete

Each deletion is confirmed by typing DELETE.

What deletion does

We delete all PII about the account, including images, videos, email, phone and name. The account is also removed from every list, including Allow, Block and Main Account, and its links to other accounts are removed. Deletion applies to one project in one environment. An account that exists in several projects, or in both Sandbox and Production, must be deleted in each. The Accounts table and list pages reflect a deletion within a few minutes.

If the account ID returns

If your integration later sends a session with the same account ID, Verisoul creates a new account with no history. It does not inherit the deleted account’s list memberships, so an account deleted while on Block returns unblocked.

Permissions

Deleting accounts needs Delete account data, held by Editors and Admins. An Admin can add it to a custom role, for example for the person who handles privacy requests. See Managing Users.
